To start the week we the Duchess and I helped the Princess get her sale stuff unpacked for her sidewalk sale. Then we went shopping then we all worked on projects down the basement. Painted onesies (where are the pictures of these girls?) worked on quilts again, and what a joy to have the daughters together working together on projects for there new arrivals. This was a great joy to me and i loved every minute of it. Both the Queen Mothers were in town so they got to hang out with us too. Now where is W, predicted the 21st and we sailed right on by that day. The doctor told the Princess that W was just to comfortable and she would have to have a few contractions to get him moving. W took his own sweet time but arrive he did on the 24th. Labor was long, but everyone is great, and now my pictures are 2 weeks old. Good Grief time flies faster and faster.

Visiting Grandchildren…the best
What a treat to look out the window and see a small John Deere Jeep parked out in the parking area. Especially when it has two visitors Sister Sue and Big Brother P. They did bring their Mom but she had to run along behind the Jeep. That was funny. After Big Brother had dinner with the Queen Mother they came over to visit Grandma Queen Ann, and we drove around the lane until Sister Sue fell out trying to push brother out, woops. At that point the King got out the big rhino of a 4 wheeler and took Big 
Brother for a ride which is lots of fun and no one falls out because its seat belted. What a great way to end and afternoon between unpacking from Seattle and packing for girls camp. And of course Gnome N Clayture jumped on the jeep for a ride, check the windshield.

Showers and it’s not even raining…
Guess what that means baby showers. Yes Princess P and a baby W shower on Saturday. The hostesses were Rachel, Marsha and 
Gretchen who is trying to escape without a pick. Not with the queen behind the camera, and we all know who is the food expert that leaves a house hostess. There you are. Ribbon sandwiches and ice cream cake, sparkling punch. mmmmmm. Then the games were refreshing and different the funniest was Sister Sue watching all the grown-ups sniffing diapers and expecting them, sticking fingers in the mess. She told us that is was disgusting.
Then we need to show off the Queens latest knitting project that Princess P is modeling and the Duchess needs to get going and finish hers because they are really cute.
This is the Marcellina Vest from Simply Shetland. I knit this one in Debbie Bliss Cotton Cashmere, since it’s summer here and the Princess is 7 months along. It really turned out beautiful to toot my own horn a bit. I crocheted around the arms and neck and then finished with the crab stitch that Rene Dickey demonstrated in her finishing class. Princess P received some absolutely wonderful gifts. Our knitting guild was on the invite list as well a dear aunts and cousins who out did themselves. Here are a few pictures to enjoy.
Grand Princess A
Before we left for Seattle i did get another shrug for the Grand Princess A finished and almost sewed up. Gnome was very excited about a finished product. It is very cute and i can hardly wait to get the grand princess to model it. What do you think. I also did a little fabric shopping for quilts, i don’t want to run out in the middle of the night when i’m on a shopping spree.
And because the Duchess is expecting a little alien the Princess P and i wanted to surprise her with a little comfort surprise. A terrior just like Maggie. This is so cute and it looks just like the Duchess’s Maggie Terrrior.
And this is me at 1:00am finishing the quilt to pack and take with me the next day…
Birthday Hurrays !!
We celebrated the Princesses birthday and i forgot to take the picture of the cake. Where do i leave my brain some days. The whole idea was to immortalize the cake, because i frosted the said cake and it looked really good. This is a giant plus, because although i have made and frosted over a 100 angel food birthday cakes i still am challenged by applying the frosting. It may be a mental block of some kind, or dizlexia or mothers challenge, or left brain day. Who knows. Anyway i forgot to take the picture. So you get to see Grandpa the King giving horsey rides, and my new grandson who i couldn’t find when i picked him up at school. He has no hair, its a good thing he recognized his grandma or we would have been calling out the lost kid patrol. Prince B gave him a little haircut over the week-end. Anyway enjoy the picks we enjoyed the cake. Delious….
Baby Baby oh Baby
Upon ordering a box load of pinks, lavendars and lovely soft girl colors, because we know that this baby is a girl, some crazy guy with an ultra sound says woops it looks like a boy to me. Yikes ! Back to the drawing board and books. Do i remember seeing any sweaters that were for boys? The Princess and Prince are starting with a prince Pea. WE are so excited, we may burst before he gets here. Hurray for babies.
We’re having a baby !!
We’ll i’m not but the Princess P is, look what i got in the mail and guess who cried. Yes that would be me the proud Grandma. I really can’t believe my eyes oh now it’s time to start knitting up all sorts of baby wonders.
I have been in touch with the Duchess to pick out some yarn that will be royaly suited for a Prince or Princess Pea.
The kids down the block
These are the cutest kids down the block that i know. This one is full of mischief and more. Grandma was thrilled to see them in there hand knitted sweaters and skirt for Santa pictures.
The model would not hold still she kept running around the house, but she did like the jumper and sweater. I had 1 sec to sit her on this bench and take the picture before she jumped off and ran away. We tried multiple times, this was the clearest. Sorry you can’t squeeze them is person and get hugs and kisses.

Grandbabies are wonderful
My Grandaughter came to see me last week. Her Dad plays the piano so I thought she might be a natural and presto I am correct. She took to it like a duck to water. Hopefully when she is older she will love to practice.
