Pumpkin Patch Outing

Oh hurray W and his parents came to visit Little Sir all the way from Utah, the King is coming to visit next week too. We need an excurision and it being the month of pumpkins you can guess what we decided to do. Now the daughters both have wee ones we have to have pumpkins to celebrate Halloween and what better way to do that than visit the hugest pumpkin patch around. (excuse the hugest, it’s kid talk coming out) After 2 days the daughters and babies are almost in sync with feeding and changing so there is an open window of time that a mission can be accomplished. Thence forth we proceeded to the CravenFarms Pumpkin Patch. The Queen was so happy to be a part of this historic outing she almost peeed her pants. You know excitement, age, babies all that great stuff that mothers and queens are exposed to. Ah yes, check out this Pumpkin Patch. This is the biggest Radio Flyer in the World or at least all of Seattle. And Walter was really having a great time, we were not torturing him.

We all liked the pumpkins, and dinner was even better. That would be Italian cooked by an Asian Chef thus the name of the restaurant “Why Not” only in Italian Perche’No. The owners are great we chatted with them and they took great care of us. Our seasonal entrees’ included Osterich filets with pine nuts and Belgium Chocolate, Swordfish with olives and capers, and then a tasty standard of Fetacine Pescatori. Sorry don’t know how to spell these. Our desserts, well hope you have the opportunity to go and try all of them. chocolate lasagna, poached pear, italian flan.

Yes the Queen is still in Seattle, and we are all doing well, with reinforcements coming this week I will be heading back to the home front.

Little Sir or JH

Sometimes all you need are a few pictures to convey all the love, worry, and hope that you feel for your children and grand children.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Sir J H has arrived…Fanfare….DaaDaDa!!

Wow what a night, the pit drip did not create labor only a backache.  Then the Duchesses BP went up and she got a fever and then all H E double toothpicks broke loose and there was a c section taking place.  For a premie JH came in at 7# 8 oz. 18 inches long. Wow what would  full term have produced.  Anyway the placenta went to the lab to be analyzed and the Duchess is glad to be rid of it.

Baby is in prenatal nursery with an iv for a couple days to make sure there is no infection thats why he has a splint on his tiny little arm. Mom is doing very well and the Queen and  Duke are exhausted.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Well on with the story of the week that you are all holding your breath for.  Thur we started induction, we all went to the hospital and the Duchess was administered and Miso ( You have to do your own research if you don’t know what this is) I can’t say let alone spell this medical stuff)  Then she was supposed to be released to spend the day at home and seeing if this would start the birthing process. Low and behold we had 2 very attentive nurses who were new to birthing and they were overly protective about baby risk, the problem being JH didn’t like the monitor so he kept moving or kicking it and that would foul the read out up.  The nurses wouldn’t unplug  the Duchess so they stayed at the hospital until 5 pm not being able to eat.  I took lunch done to the Duke and we did sneak a few bites to the Duchess.  When the Dr came he said all was fine and go home.  Unfortunatle that was about 5:45 the miso hadn’t done much. It took all three of us to haul the stuff be had brought in,  I think they were planning on staying.

Day 2

We again packed lots of stuff into the hospital, but not as much as day 1 we are getting better, we left most of the stuff in the car.  We again administer and inducing misoproctal.  I have just about enough time to go back to the house and the Duke calls and says we are released hurray and pick us up before they change their minds.  This time the stuff worked until about 5:30 in the afternoon, but the Duchesses body didn’t kick in anymore. The good thing  is JH is growing stronger all the time. The Duke breaking in the new rocker, the Duchess and the dogs working on getting JH into this world.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Day 3

Not good news the hospital calls and cancels our induction date because the specialized neo-nate nurse had a family emergency.  This is a long day of waiting, but about 9 pm the Duchesses water decides to give way.  Hurry send them to the hospital.

Day 4  Waiting!!!Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket!!!!!!!! Stay tuned.

Seattle Skies Visit

Just so everyone can stay up to date, I am in Seattle waiting for JH to arrive at the Duchess & Dukes.  Hurray for babies,  W is being very brave while I am gone and P Diddy and Sister Sue will have to visit the King and go on Rhino rides without me for awhile.   I’m nesting for the Duchess so all is well.  We have been so busy we have hardly had time to knit and there has been no spinning at all.  We did have a lovely day of tea though.
