I wanted to show offf this latest ball band because the color combination really excited me. Lion Brand and Sugar and Cream each contributing. And my kitchen just loves the new color splash. Anyone for tea?

Spinning for Fun & Sanity
There is a Duchess who has a very femine spinning wheel that spins contentedly along for hours in the land of Yarnnation. The Queen on the other hand has encountered Shack a very strong male wheel, who just about got burned at the stake. Then the Queen remembered how handsome this wheel is and reconsidered. After all it may be operator error (of all the silly notions) that has caused the fiber to balk at being plyed or spun, under further investigation i admitted that i didn’t know all there was to know about Shack. Shack who sings an old tune when spinning, the tune is Shaft a very cool policeman who always gets his guy, the bad guy or gal that is. And then Alden atlas says wheels are very simple except when they are not and then basically you are up the creek without a paddle so to speak. Okay there has to be a solution, a visit to the LSS. Three Wishes Fiber, Kristine takes Shack has a talk with him about making the Queen throw tantrums and he again begins spinning his little heart out. Ah, it was just a misunderstanding. We again are spinning a beautiful silk and singing and thinking what to do with our spun fiber.

Princess R requested knitting
This is the Princess R and this is her Christmas Gift. It is the turtleneck shrug from Pam Allens, Scarf Style and i knit it in Lux. It was beautiful yarn to knit with but going around and around up two arms on 16″ needles is a little trying on the mind and the hands. But we all think it turned out well. She is sitting on the new chaise that is adorning the Phoebe Ann entrance. 
January in Utah or living in the deep freeze
I just keep telling myself, self it is winter it is supposed to be cold and colder and freezing. This is not the coldest consequtive amount of days below freezing we have endured, it’s just that my body is older and it has gotten cranky. So just think of it, everybody in the whole state is cranky except for the goofy people that ski and snowboard and pretend to really like the white stuff. My philosfy the white stuff is good the day before Christmas and then we endure through January, (it is winter) and then you can stuff it up in the mountains. I have had to break out a real coat this year.
